Chilled green tea with peaches recipe
Having green tea helps in weight loss. Dr. Abdul Dulloo from the University of Geneva in Switzerland conducted a clinical study which showed that the metabolic rate and the burning up of fat are increased by the consumption of green tea.
It also boosts the immunity of the body and helps fight cancer. It has polyphenols andflavonoids that arrest the building up of tumors.
Ingredients:
– Green teabags (six)
– Coldwater (6 cups) and Ripe peaches (two, sliced)
Method:
Put the teabags in the teapot or pitcher
Add cold water and put the peaches in the saucepan. Bring them to boil and then pour all of the ingredients over the teabags.
Let it sit for six minutes and then add maple syrup, succanat or honey as sweeteners. Let the drink cool and then put it in the refrigerator to chill.
Garnish with peach slices and mint leaves in the glass before serving, if you want.
The other easy alternative to this is making green tea and then putting in the peaches from a can of organic peaches.
